When rising COVID-19 cases led to community quarantines in Manila, SSC ’96 postponed our planned fundraising events and Blue Plate Series for the safety of everyone.
Instead, we quickly shifted gears to be in solidarity with our fellow Filipinos in need in these trying times of COVID-19, especially our frontline medical workers. In-mid March, we launched the BLUE HEART BRIGADE 
, a donation drive to help purchase COVID-19 testing kits and PPEs for health workers.
We were amazed by the generosity of our batchmates, friends and family – within a few short weeks we raised more than Php220,000 for the U.P. Medical Foundation. We are grateful to all the donors who supported this initiative!
